Extended Services within the Eastwood Family of Schools are delighted to provide their backing to Nottingham's efforts to become a host city for the 2018 World Cup.

The 15 cities will be whittled down to ten in December so it's vital that the city receives your support!
Extended Services Co-ordinator Barry Cooper commented: "It's a fantastic opportunity for the county to be hosting the World Cup and the impact it could have on the children would be fantastic.
It would leave a great legacy for generations to come. While our support in the grand scheme of things is probably quite minimal, the more schools that back the bid the better".

And The Survey Says?
We would like to extend a huge 'Thank You' to all those pupils and parents/guardians across the Family of School's who completed our 'Extended Services Questionnaire' during the latter part of the summer term.
The findings were very useful and helped to produce the report required by Nottinghamshire County Council, while also giving us an overview of what YOU the people of Eastwood want to see happen!
The information you have given will enable us to produce a report into what’s currently happening in Eastwood and what needs to happen according to people’s needs - enabling the Extended Services team to access the relevant funding.
For more information on what Nottinghamshire are doing within Extended Services, please visit the following Notts County Council link to read 'Noticeboard' - the council's Extended Services newsletter.

The project is the brainchild of seven students who believe that they can make exciting things happen from their High Street base in the town. Trying to obtain funding to secure the future of their centre is the main priority, but running adult and family learning events, plus community based activities along with things from the whole Family of Schools is high on the agenda for the group. They will head to Nottingham with their final invitations where they will attend a gala evening which may well seem them crowned with the prestigious accolade.
Fundsport and Extended Services have been working closely with the students, along with Head Teacher Mark Pickford and Student Support Co-ordinator Jacqui Downs. All will be in attendance at next months showpiece along with former Eastwood Mayor Keith Longdon, Managing Director of Fundsport Mark Craddock and the school's Arts Development Manager Sarah Taylor.
